Step-by-step: How candidates can check and print 2026 UTME result slip

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the first batch of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with candidates currently limited to checking scores via SMS.

According to JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, the official result slip printing service has not yet been activated and will be made available later on the board’s e-Facility portal.

He also warned candidates against tampering with result messages, describing any attempt to alter or falsify scores as a criminal offence.

Below is a clear guide for candidates:

How to check your UTME score via SMS

  1. Ensure the phone number used for JAMB registration has at least ₦50 airtime.
  2. Send UTMERESULT as a text message to 55019.
  3. You will receive your UTME score via SMS shortly after.

How to print your official result slip (when activated)

The official result slip includes your passport photograph, subject scores, and details required for admission processing. It will cost ₦1,500 to print.

Once the service is activated:

  1. Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal at efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
  2. Log in with your registered email address and password.
  3. Select “Print Result Slip” from your dashboard.
  4. Click “Continue with Payment” and complete the ₦1,500 payment.

  6. Download and print your result slip.

Important information for candidates

  • Use only official JAMB platforms to avoid fraud or misinformation.
  • Keep multiple printed copies of your result slip, as they are required during admission screening.
  • Candidates who have forgotten login details can use the “Forgot Password” option or visit a JAMB office for assistance.

The 2026 UTME, which began on April 16, is scheduled to run until April 22 across designated centres nationwide.
