The Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has marked Children’s Day with a call on government, parents and communities to prioritize quality education, child protection, and access to basic services for every child in the country.
Addressing the house, the MP said children are the foundation of Ghana’s future and their rights must be protected at all times.
She urged stakeholders to fight child labour, teenage pregnancy, and school dropouts that continue to affect many children in the country.
She also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting schools in Salaga South with teaching and learning materials, while working with the Ghana Education Service to improve infrastructure in deprived communities.
“Every child deserves the chance to learn, play and grow in a safe environment. As MP, I will continue to push for policies and resources that put our children first,” she stated.
