Enugu CP Congratulates Rangers On Record 9th NPFL Title

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Bitrus Giwa, has congratulated Enugu Rangers International Football Club on winning the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title for a record ninth time.

In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Daniel Ndukwe, the Commissioner described the achievement as “remarkable” following Rangers’ 2–1 victory over Ikorodu City in the final match of the 2025/2026 season, which secured the club top position with 68 points.

CP Giwa said the victory stands as “a clear testament to the club’s resilience, discipline, teamwork, and sustained hard work,” noting that it has brought pride, honour and excitement to Enugu State and its football-loving people.

He commended the players, coaching crew, management, supporters and stakeholders for their collective efforts, and urged the team to remain focused and sustain its winning spirit as worthy ambassadors of Enugu State and Nigeria.

The CP further assured Rangers International FC of the Command’s continued collaboration and commitment to providing adequate security at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, and other match venues, to ensure a safe and orderly environment for players, officials and fans.

He also advised supporters to remain law-abiding, security conscious, and to promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
