A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Monday, the party’s spokesperson, Ini Ememobong, said the timetable was approved by the National Executive Committee (NEC) following the appointment of a 13-member interim National Working Committee (NWC) to oversee the party’s affairs.
According to the schedule, the PDP pegged its presidential nomination forms at N100 million — comprising N10 million for expression of interest and N90 million for nomination.
For governorship aspirants, the expression of interest form is set at N5 million, while the nomination form costs N35 million.
Senate hopefuls are to pay N3 million for expression of interest and N7 million for nomination, while aspirants for the House of Representatives will pay N2 million and N5 million, respectively.
For state Houses of Assembly seats, the nomination form is fixed at N1.5 million, with the expression of interest form costing N500,000.
The party said women aspirants are exempted from paying nomination fees, while youths and persons with disabilities will receive a 50 per cent discount on nomination forms.
The timetable indicates that the sale of forms will run from May 5 to May 13, with submission of completed forms closing on May 14. Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 15 to May 18, while appeals will be heard on May 21.
Publication of cleared candidates is slated for May 22, followed by ward primaries on May 27 and appeals on May 28.
The party said its NEC will meet on May 29 to approve nominated candidates, with a special convention for ratification scheduled for May 30.
The development comes amid parallel moves within the PDP, as another faction linked to Nyesom Wike had earlier released a separate timetable, pegging its presidential form at N51 million.
