The Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Zuweira Mohammed Ibrahimah, has commissioned new school facilities in four communities and a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Kakoshie, as part of efforts to strengthen education and primary healthcare delivery in the constituency.

Speaking at the ceremonies, Ibrahimah attributed the successful completion of the projects to divine support and stakeholder collaboration. She also commended the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for what she described as effective leadership and professionalism during the implementation phase.

A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of a newly constructed classroom block designed to provide a more conducive learning environment for pupils. Although the building had been completed months earlier, its commissioning was delayed to allow for the provision of furniture.

A representative at the event said the decision was intentional to ensure immediate usability. “It was important that the facility be fully equipped before commissioning, so that students can begin learning in a comfortable setting from day one,” the representative noted, adding that the Municipal Assembly has now supplied the required furniture.

Community leaders, residents and education stakeholders who attended the event welcomed the projects, expressing optimism that the improved infrastructure would enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

The newly commissioned CHPS compound is also expected to expand access to primary healthcare services, particularly for residents in underserved areas.

The projects underscore ongoing efforts to improve social infrastructure and service delivery across the Salaga South Constituency.
