Salaga-South MP Supports BECE Candidates in East Gonja with Meals and Learning Materials

The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South Constituency in Ghana’s Savannah Region, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has encouraged candidates sitting for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the East Gonja Municipality to remain confident and disciplined as the examination begins.

During a visit to selected examination centres on Tuesday, the lawmaker urged the candidates to remain focused and avoid any form of malpractice. She also prayed for their success, describing education as a key foundation for personal and community development.

Hon. Ibrahimah commended the Ghana Education Service, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders for their role in preparing the students for the examinations. She noted that sustained collaboration is essential to improving educational outcomes in the constituency.

As part of her intervention, the MP provided hot meals for all 1,155 candidates in the municipality. She also arranged additional breakfast and dinner support for candidates in Abromase, Kafaba, Konkomba, and Makango circuits, alongside the distribution of mathematical sets and pens.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kassim Yazid Rabiu, the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Abiba Bakari-Soale, and other education officials accompanied the MP during the visit.
