Father's Day: CCN South-East Celebrates Fathers, Hails Sacrifices and Leadership

The Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), South-East Zone, has congratulated fathers across Nigeria and the world on the occasion of Father's Day, commending their sacrifices, resilience, leadership and contributions to family, church and society.

In a Father's Day message issued on behalf of the South-East Executive Committee of the Council, led by its Chairman, Territorial Envoy Dr. Levi Monanu, the Zonal Secretary, Rev. Nlemchukwu Stephen, described fathers as the bedrock of society and critical pillars in the nurturing of future generations.

He said the Council acknowledged and celebrated the testimonies of faith, love, hard work, fortitude and mentorship demonstrated by fathers despite the numerous economic and social challenges confronting families and communities.

According to him, fathers have continued to provide leadership, guidance and support both at home and in the larger society, often making personal sacrifices to ensure the wellbeing of their families.

"We acknowledge and share your testimonies of faith, sacrifice, love, hard work, fortitude and mentorship at home, church and the larger society," he said.

Rev. Stephen described fathers as "the foundation, the pillars, the shelter, the strength, the confidence, our biggest support and best friend," noting that their contributions remain indispensable to the stability and progress of society.

"It is difficult to believe, yet very true, that despite the challenges of the times and life generally, you have continually led, guided and provided for the family and society. This is because a father's heart is bigger than the ocean and stronger than the mountains," he stated.

The cleric urged fathers to remain steadfast in their responsibilities as spiritual leaders, role models and mentors, while praying for greater grace, wisdom and divine blessings upon them.

He also encouraged fathers to extend the Father's Day greetings to other fathers within their communities and continue to uphold the values of faith, integrity and service.

The CCN South-East Zone wished all fathers a happy Father's Day and prayed for God's continued protection, strength and favour upon them in the years ahead.
