2027: APC Clears Ejikeme Odumegwu for House of Representatives Primaries

Dr Ejikeme Odumegwu, an aspirant for the Igboeze North/Udenu Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, has been cleared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) screening committee.

The screening was conducted by the party’s House of Representatives Screening Committee at the Treasure House in Abuja on Thursday.

Odumegwu, who arrived at Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu to a reception by supporters, commended the screening exercise, describing it as fair and transparent.

He said the process reflected democratic principles within the APC.

Speaking on his ambition, he said he was seeking to represent his constituency to improve service delivery.

“I am still in the business of uplifting humanity, especially within Igboeze North/Udenu Federal Constituency,” he said.

He added that his decision to contest was driven by a desire to provide more effective representation.

“One does not offer to serve when capacity and commitment have not been tested and trusted,” he said.

Odumegwu also criticised the performance of the incumbent lawmaker, alleging a lack of development impact in the constituency.

“For nearly eight years, there has been no meaningful development or legislative impact in the area,” he said.
