The All Progressives Congress has postponed its House of Representatives primary elections for the 2027 general elections to Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The party announced the adjustment in a statement issued on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, previously scheduled dates for the Senate, State House of Assembly, governorship and presidential primaries remain unchanged.
“The House of Representatives Primary Election earlier scheduled has been moved to Saturday, May 16, 2026,” the statement said.
Under the revised timetable released by the party, Senate primaries will hold on Monday, May 18, while State House of Assembly primaries are scheduled for Wednesday, May 20.
Governorship primaries will take place on Thursday, May 21, while the presidential primary election is fixed for Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The party did not state reasons for the postponement.
