Ezenwa Raises Concerns Over Aguata Poll

Leading aspirant for the Aguata Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, under the National Democratic Party (NDC), Hon. Stanley Ezenwa, has expressed dissatisfaction with the conduct of the primary election held on Friday at Umuchiana Hall, Ekwulobia, alleging that the exercise was marred by irregularities.

Despite the outcome of the exercise, Ezenwa appealed to his supporters to remain calm and peaceful, assuring them that steps were being taken to address their concerns through the appropriate channels within the party.

In a statement issued after the election, the aspirant commended the large turnout of his supporters, describing it as a demonstration of the people's desire for credible leadership and meaningful representation.

"I sincerely appreciate the massive support and enthusiasm shown by our people. However, some irregularities were observed during the exercise, and they do not reflect the ideals and principles our party stands for," he said.

Ezenwa noted that consultations had already commenced with both the state and national leadership of the party to seek redress and ensure that the values of transparency, fairness, and internal democracy are upheld.

According to him, the issues arising from the exercise would be pursued through legitimate party mechanisms, expressing confidence that the leadership would act in the interest of justice and the electorate.

He urged his supporters not to lose hope or become discouraged by the developments, insisting that their commitment to positive change remained intact.

"Please remain patient as we continue to engage the party leadership. Do not be tired or discouraged. The struggle for better leadership and effective representation continues," he stated.

Ezenwa further reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Aguata, pledging to remain a strong advocate for transformation, accountability, and exemplary leadership.

The delegate election, held at Umuchiana Hall, Ekwulobia, attracted party members and stakeholders from across Aguata Local Government Area.
