Iran Says US Responds to Latest Peace Proposal Amid Ongoing Tensions

Iran has acknowledged receiving a response from the United States to its most recent peace proposal, signaling a potential — though uncertain — diplomatic opening in the prolonged conflict.

According to Iranian state-linked media, the reply was delivered through Pakistan and is currently under review. However, Washington has not officially confirmed the communication. Speaking publicly, US President Donald Trump indicated skepticism about the proposal, suggesting it may not meet US expectations.

The Iranian plan reportedly outlines a 14-point framework, including demands for the withdrawal of US forces from areas near Iranian borders, an end to naval blockades on Iranian ports, and a halt to hostilities across the region — including Israel’s military operations in Lebanon. It also proposes that both sides reach a comprehensive agreement within 30 days.
