Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has issued a public apology following widespread controversy over claims about her health.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the influencer expressed regret to her family, supporters and the wider Nigerian public, acknowledging the backlash and describing the episode as an “unnecessary” source of embarrassment.
She said she would be more transparent going forward, promising to share medical updates, including scan results and biopsy reports, as she continues her health journey. Okoro also insisted that she had not deliberately misled the public about her condition.
The apology follows intense scrutiny over earlier claims, including references to stage four cancer, which she later described as a “miscommunication”.
Addressing those who donated money during the episode, she said refunds would be made available upon request. Contributors were asked to provide proof of payment and account details via direct message or WhatsApp to facilitate reimbursement.
Okoro said about 13 million naira had been raised during the period and concluded by thanking supporters for their concern and goodwill.
