The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated the traditional ruler of Awka Kingdom, Gibson Nwosu, on his 90th birthday.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor extended “warm felicitations” on behalf of the government and people of the state, describing the Eze Uzu II as “a quintessential monarch, a symbol of peace, and a custodian of Awka’s rich cultural heritage.”
Mr Soludo said attaining the age of 90 was “a profound blessing” and a reflection of a life marked by discipline, purpose and service to humanity.
He also highlighted the monarch’s career before ascending the throne, noting his role as a pioneer aviator, which he said brought honour to Nigeria.
The governor prayed for continued good health, strength and wisdom for the traditional ruler, expressing hope that his reign would remain peaceful and fruitful.
He added that the state government joins the royal family and the people of Awka in celebrating the milestone and wishing the monarch many more years.
