“Inter-agency synergy remains vital to effective policing” — CP Giwa

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, mspsp, has underscored the importance of sustained collaboration among security agencies in strengthening public safety and tackling emerging security threats in the state.

CP Giwa made the remarks on Wednesday while receiving the new Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Enugu State Command, Comptroller Kalu Ibe Olugu, during a courtesy visit to the State Command Headquarters, GRA, Enugu.

According to the Police Commissioner, no single security agency can effectively address contemporary security challenges without strategic partnership and intelligence sharing.

“Inter-agency synergy remains paramount to effective security operations. No agency can succeed in isolation,” CP Giwa said.

He stressed that cooperation, timely intelligence exchange, and operational coordination between the Police and sister security agencies were critical to sustaining peace and stability in Enugu State.

The Commissioner assured the Immigration Service of the Command’s continued support, noting that existing collaboration between both agencies had contributed significantly to improved security outcomes in the state.

Earlier, Comptroller Olugu commended the Police Command for its support to the Nigeria Immigration Service and called for deeper cooperation to enhance border management and internal security operations.

He emphasized the need for strengthened coordination to address evolving security concerns, particularly those requiring joint operational response.

CP Giwa wished the Comptroller a successful tenure and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to working closely with all security agencies in the interest of public safety and national security.
