The Head of Service of Enugu State, Dr Godwin Anigbo, says Governor Peter Mbah has distinguished himself through “resilient, transformative and innovative leadership” within three years in office.

Dr Anigbo made this known in a congratulatory message issued on Thursday in Enugu ahead of the governor’s third anniversary, noting that Governor Mbah, who was sworn in on May 29, 2023, will mark three years in office on May 29, 2026.

According to him, the governor has redefined governance in Enugu State, describing his administration’s performance as “excellent service” anchored on sustainable development across key sectors.

“On behalf of the management and entire workforce of the Enugu State Public Service, I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Dr Peter Mbah, on the occasion of your third anniversary in office as Governor of Enugu State,” he said.

Dr Anigbo said Governor Mbah has “painstakingly articulated and executed visionary plans and programmes which have revolutionised Enugu State as a modern state.”

He added that the administration’s approach, anchored on accountability, efficiency and results-driven governance, had continued to strengthen public confidence in government delivery.

The Head of Service further described Governor Mbah as an “exceptionally worker-friendly governor,” noting that he had prioritised staff welfare and institutional reforms in the civil service.

He said the administration had created an enabling environment for productivity and professional development through continuous training, retraining, digital transformation, upskilling and workforce support initiatives.

“The flagship initiative in the establishment of the Public Service Training Institute speaks to innovation in the public service,” he said.

He added that these investments in human capital development had repositioned the public service as a key driver of the administration’s development agenda.

Dr Anigbo noted that as Enugu State moves towards becoming a leading investment destination and achieving its $30 billion economy vision, the public service remains committed to supporting the administration.

“We reaffirm the service total commitment to the successful actualisation of your mission for a prosperous and globally competitive Enugu State,” he said.

“Congratulations, the People’s Governor,” he added.
