Peter Obi Donates ₦25m to Uniniger Umunya, Urges Students on Focus

Former Anambra State Governor, Mr Peter Obi, has donated ₦25 million to the University on the Niger (Uniniger), Umunya, as part of his continued support for education in Nigeria.

Obi made the donation during a visit to the institution, where he was received by the Vice-Chancellor, The Very Rev. Prof. Chinedu Nebo, CON, alongside staff and students.

The Vice-Chancellor described the visit as significant, commending Obi for his consistent contributions to the education sector and prayed for his continued wellbeing.

In his remarks, Obi praised the university management under the Chancellor, The Rt. Rev. Dr Owen Chiedozie Nwokolo, for what he called notable progress in academic development and accreditation of programmes.

He urged students to remain committed to their studies, describing them as future leaders whose contributions would be critical to national development.

Obi also reaffirmed his support for the institution and announced the ₦25 million donation to assist its development efforts.

Students of the university expressed appreciation through songs and goodwill messages during the visit.
