Salaga South MP Congratulates BECE Candidates, Urges Discipline

Zuwera Ibrahimah Mohammed, Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency in Ghana’s Savannah Region, has congratulated candidates from East Gonja Constituency who completed the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), urging them to remain disciplined while awaiting their results.

In a statement issued after the examinations, the lawmaker praised the students for conducting themselves responsibly throughout the exercise, noting that no incidents of examination malpractice were reported.

“You have prepared adequately for this very important examination in your lives and, Alhamdulillah, you have completed it successfully without any reported incident of examination malpractice,” she said.

She expressed optimism that the candidates would achieve excellent results and encouraged them to continue living responsibly during the break.

“As you await your results, please stay away from social vices. Do not engage in illicit drugs and sexual promiscuity,” she advised.

Mohammed also urged the students to support their parents and remain committed to personal development through education and religious activities.

“Do not stop reading story books, as reading is the tool that sharpens the brain,” she added.

The MP said she hoped to celebrate the students’ success when the results are released and disclosed plans to reward outstanding candidates through the MP’s Special Award for best-performing students across schools in the constituency.
