Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has offered words of encouragement to celebrity businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, after his defeat in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election.
Cubana Chief Priest contested the APC ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State but lost to incumbent lawmaker Canice Nwachukwu after polling just 14 votes, according to reports.
Reacting to the outcome, Seyi Tinubu took to his Instagram page to console the nightlife promoter, urging him to remain resilient despite the setback. “Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” he wrote.
Cubana Chief Priest later reshared the message on his social media page.
Before the APC primary, Cubana Chief Priest had publicly expressed confidence in his political ambition but admitted disappointment after the result, saying only a small number of delegates supported him.
His defeat has since generated reactions across social media, where supporters and critics continue to debate his political outing and influence within the party.
