Tinubu Arrives Kenya Ahead of Africa–France Summit

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, ahead of the Africa–France Summit scheduled to open later on Monday. The Presidency confirmed that the aircraft conveying the President landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 12:15 a.m. local time.

The summit, which is jointly hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, will take place from May 11 to May 12 under the theme “Africa Forward: Africa–France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth.” Discussions are expected to focus on energy transition, digital transformation, climate action, and reforms in global financing structures.

According to the Nigerian Presidency, President Tinubu is participating in the summit to reinforce Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening economic and diplomatic partnerships across Africa and with France. He is also expected to present Nigeria’s ongoing reform agenda aimed at attracting investment and improving economic stability.

While in Nairobi, President Tinubu is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with global business leaders and government officials. He will later proceed to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum before returning to Nigeria ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary later in May.
