Democracy Day: Caleb Ani Pledges More Dividends For Enugu South

The Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Dr. Caleb Ani, has pledged greater delivery of democratic dividends to residents of the council area, reaffirming his administration's commitment to people-oriented governance and grassroots development.

In a Democracy Day message issued through his Media Office, Dr. Ani said the celebration of June 12 provides an opportunity to reflect on the gains of democracy and renew efforts towards improving the welfare of the people through responsive and accountable leadership.

He stated that his administration would continue to prioritize projects and programmes that directly impact residents, including community development initiatives, improved public services, youth empowerment, and other interventions aimed at enhancing living standards across Enugu South.

"Democracy is meaningful when its benefits are felt by the people. We remain committed to ensuring that residents of Enugu South continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy through quality service delivery, inclusive governance, and sustainable development," he said.

Dr. Ani also commended the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, for his visionary leadership and development-driven policies, noting that the governor's investments in critical sectors are positively transforming communities across the state.

While congratulating residents on Democracy Day, the council chairman thanked them for their support and cooperation and urged them to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and united in the collective pursuit of a more prosperous Enugu South.
